BREAKING: Apple holding “Rock and Roll” themed event on September 9th – 9 กันยา iPod Touch 3rd ออกแล้ว
With only 9 days until the rumoured event, Apple have sent emails out to people inviting them to their Rock and Roll themed event on September the 9th. The image above is what was including with the invitation, and music fanatics out there will recognise the lyrics as a song by the Rolling Stones.
Annually, Apple hold an event around this time of year, which are music-based and normally see updates to iPods across Apple’s extensive range.With the news of iPod SKUs drying out everywhere, can we expect something big to come from Apple this year?
The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, (10am Cupertino time, 1pm Eastern).

Luxor soon for iPhone & iPod Touch
The development team is winning MumboJumbo Mac and PC action-puzzle game “Luxor” in August for iPhone & iPod Touch, published in the App Store. The game is almost finished and there were already 2 Screenshots released (embedded below).
Goal in Luxor, it is approaching the balls to stop by to shoot the same colored balls. The developers promise a lot of fun with over 80 levels. The game will be the Social Gaming Plus + Ngmoco of use, so you can, among other things friends via Twitter or Facebook.

Where there’s this many iTablet rumors, there just has to be an actual product Steve Jobs is finally happy with and will be unveiling to the world at a special Apple event in early 2010, right?
That’s what Apple Insider is reporting. The gist is as follows:
- 10″, 3G networked device similar to “a jumbo iPod touch”
- Guided by Steve Jobs from hospital, home, and work
- Culmination of at least 6 previous prototypes Jobs vetoed
- Will launch in first quarter of 2010
- Verizon may be the carrier
- Delays caused by lack of satisfaction over Intel Atom power consumption
- Hence Apple bought PA Semi to build in-house, custom chipset based on ARM

Still and all, even if this is real, Bill Gates has been trying to push the tablet concept for almost a decade with little or no mass market acceptance. Can Apple work another product category miracle, doing for the tablet and e-book form factor what they’ve done for the MP3 player and smartphone?
Can Apple take the tablet from geek niche to consumer necessity? Or is this doomed to Apple TV “hobby” status from the get go?

Rumors of the third generation iPod touch getting a camera — even video camera — is nothing new, however Wired.com now claims they may be getting a built-in microphone as well:
A well-connected source tells us those rumors are on the money, and that Apple’s factories in China are already manufacturing iPod Touch models with integrated cameras and microphones. An Apple spokesman declined to comment when reached by phone.
With the addition of video to Camera, and the Voice Memo app, combined with a built-in mic making VoIP even easier, we’ll come out and say it — ultimate non-phone handset is nigh.
Apple typically unveils new iPod touch models once a year at their special music event, alongside other iPods and related announcements — which last time, at Let’s Rock included the iPhone 2.1 firmware and iTunes 8.

redsn0w is an easy to use, multi-platform, multi-device jailbreaking and unlocking (iPhone 2G only) tool for the iPhone 2G (original iPhone), the iPhone 3G (but not the 3GS) and also the iPod touch (first and second generation). Currently it is available for Windows and Mac OS X (there are some issues using redsn0w with OS X PPC, please use an Intel Mac until we have this problem resolved).
REDSN0W PROVIDES SIMILAR FUNCTIONALITY TO QUICKPWN.
If you want to build custom firmware files with more flexibility it is suggested that you use ‘PwnageTool’ on Mac OS X.
- GOLDEN RULE: If you are using a 3G iPhone with yellowsn0w and rely on yellowsn0w to obtain cellular service, then you should NOT use redsn0w right now. Ultrasn0w (the 3G carrier unlock) is not included with this release and therefore your baseband will be locked and unable to use an operator other than the official one it was bought for. UltraSn0w will be released via APT (cydia and icy) soon. If you have an original iPhone (1st generation) then 3.0 carrier unlock works with this redsn0w release.
- Yellowsn0w in its current form will NOT work with the baseband version that is present in the 3.0 update, you will need Ultrasn0w, which will be released sometime soon, Ultrasn0w will work with all iPhone 3G models (but not 3GS), even ones that were previously unlockable, Ultrasn0w (when available) will be released via APT (this means you will be able to get it via Cydia or Icy).

- At the bottom of this post are the bittorrent files for the latest version of redsn0w.
- This app is suitable for the recent 3.0 release
- redsn0w will NOT work for the iPhone 3GS.
- redsn0w WILL work for Original iPhone (1st Generation), Original iPod touch, iPod touch 2G and the iPhone 3G (not the iPhone 3GS).
To use redsn0w simply upgrade the device in iTunes to firmware version 3.0 and run redsn0w to activate and jailbreak the device (and if you are using an original iPhone 2G, it will unlock it too!)
