When will Palm Pre beats the iPhone successfully? I don’t know, but Palm Pre webOS is improving. A vendor accidentally leaked webOS 1.2 to some users. The new webOS 1.2 finally enables users to enter credit card number to purchase some paid app from App Catalog like the iPhone. Under the menu, “Select All” is added. The copy and paste function is also improved. Web browser have big enhancement in webOS 1.2. You can now finally download the files of supported format in web browser. When you are entering forms, it will zoom in automatically.

1. Find-as-you-type search support in Email
2. App Catalog updated to support purchasing apps
3. Web browser enhanced
* auto zooms to forms
* download in browser enabled (including opening pdfs)
* better rendering of mobile pages
* Orange+click context menu on links
* save images
4. “Real” copy and paste
* shift tap to select areas of text
* Select All option in Edit menu
5. Sort by Priority or Date Due in Tasks
6. Other minor tweaks and changes
Can’t wait to see the GSM version of Palm Pre. Pre needs to go globally to win.
