Geohot has announced an untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 2G, 3G, and possibly the iPad!
The jailbreak is all software based, and is as simple to use as blackra1n. It is completely untethered, works on all current tethered models(ipt2, 3gs, ipt3), and will probably work on iPad too.
Don’t ask about a release date. You won’t make it happen any sooner.

เมื่อใดที่ iPad ทำการออกจำหน่าย 04/03/10 วันนั้นคงมีการปล่อยตัว Firmware 3.2 ออกมาค่อนข้างแน่นอนครับ
hacker ที่ทำในส่วนของ Jailbreak เริ่มขยับกันมากในส่วนนี้แล้วครับ ว่าช่องโหว่ที่พบจะใช้บน Firmware 3.2 ได้ไหม

แอปเปิ้ลออก Carrier Update dtac 5.2 เมื่อช่วงอาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมาทำให้ผู้ที่อัพเดทอัตโนมัติเมื่ออัพเดทเสร็จ เรียบร้อยแล้วฟีเจอร์ Cellular Data Network จะหายไป ซึ่งจะทำให้ผู้ที่ไม่ได้เปิด Data Unlimited จะไม่สามารถตั้งค่า APN เพื่อเปิดปิด EDGE ได้
ทางแก้ก็เหมือนเดิมคือดาวน์โหลด ipcc ที่มีการแก้ไขเพื่อเรียกให้เมนู Cellular Data Network กลับมาเหมือนเดิมครับ

**สำหรับผู้ที่ใช้ iPhone by dtac และมีการเปิดแพ็กเกจ M, L หรือมีการเปิด EDGE Unlimited ไม่ต้องทำตามวิธีข้างต้นก็ได้นะครับ ส่วนแพ็กเกจ S ที่มีการจำกัดการใช้งานดาต้า 100 MB หรือแพ็กเกจอื่น ๆ ที่มีการเปิดใช้ EDGE แบบนับชั่วโมงแนะนำให้ดาวน์โหลดเพื่อให้สามารถตั้งค่า APN ได้ครับ
